Strategic & Market Intelligence

Who we are

Business.com.gp is an intelligence platform built for companies that have to decide where to go, with whom, and against whom, with international coverage from the first assignment.

The platform exists because the same problem keeps appearing: organisations are not short of information about their markets, they are short of a reading of it. Between a database export and a decision there is a stretch of work that nobody has time to do properly.

We do that stretch. Selecting the sources that matter for a given question, verifying what they say, discarding what is out of scope, and writing a document that a committee or a sales director can act on without reprocessing it first.

What the work is built on

Seven competences, used in combination. No single one of them would be enough to turn a market question into a document somebody can decide with.

  • Digital engineering

Building the collection, monitoring and structuring pipelines that make continuous observation of markets, portals and registries possible at a useful scale.

  • Research

Knowing where information about a company, a market or a public buyer is actually published, and how to reach it when the obvious route returns nothing.

  • Data analysis

Reading corporate filings, procurement histories and capital movements as structured evidence rather than as a list of isolated facts.

  • Media expertise

Assessing what sector press, trade publications and institutional communication really establish, and separating an announcement from an accomplished fact.

  • Strategic intelligence

Understanding what a movement means for a competitive position: an entry barrier that falls, a channel that closes, a buyer that changes its procurement policy.

  • Artificial intelligence

Used where it performs: volume processing, deduplication, translation and first-pass classification, always under human review before anything is reported.

  • Editorial synthesis

Writing so that the finding arrives before the method, the uncertainty is visible, and a busy reader can act without reading the annexes first.

An international positioning from the start

The subjects we work on rarely respect a single border. A distributor is qualified in one country, a competitor invests in another, a tender is published under rules written elsewhere, and a funding round changes the balance of a segment across several markets at once.

The territories covered are therefore an assignment parameter, not a fixed characteristic of the platform. They are defined with you, extended when your ambitions extend, and stated honestly when the available sources in a given country are thin.

  • Territories are defined per assignment and can evolve during it.
  • Working languages are English and French, with other source languages on request.
  • Coverage limits are stated in the deliverable rather than left to be discovered.

Assignments designed to order

There is no catalogue of pre-written market reports here. Two companies looking at the same sector rarely need the same document, because they are not taking the same decision, do not have the same channels and do not face the same constraints.

Each request is therefore studied before anything is proposed. That study establishes whether the question can be answered with observable material, what would be realistic to deliver, and what should be excluded to keep the assignment useful rather than merely large.

  • Every request is reviewed individually before a scope is proposed.
  • The scope is written down and validated in writing before work begins.
  • What the assignment will not cover is stated as clearly as what it will.

Discretion as an operating condition

Intelligence subjects reveal intentions. Which territory a company is studying, which partner it is verifying, which competitor worries it and which deadline it is working to are all sensitive pieces of information in themselves.

We therefore work discreetly by default. Client identities are not disclosed, no case study is published, and material produced for one assignment is never recycled into another. When an assignment requires contact with third parties, the terms are agreed with you first.

  • No client is named, quoted or used as a reference.
  • Findings produced for one assignment stay within that assignment.
  • Transmission, recipients and retention of material are set in the scope.

Our commitments

  • Say what can and cannot be observed

Before an assignment starts, we tell you where the available sources are solid and where they are not. A question we cannot answer seriously is identified as such, not billed as research.

  • Deliver what is agreed, in the agreed form

The scope defines the perimeter, the rhythm, the format and the recipients. It is a working document, revised openly when needed, never quietly reinterpreted along the way.

  • Keep analysis distinct from fact

You should always be able to see what was observed, where it came from, and where our reading of it begins. That separation is what makes a deliverable discussable.

  • Make no promise about outcomes

We commit to the quality of identification, qualification and analysis. What a company then obtains from a market, a partner or a public buyer depends on its offer, its terms and its execution.

Tell us what you need to monitor

Describe your subject, your markets and your decision timeline. We study every request individually before proposing a monitoring set-up.

Every request is reviewed confidentially. No commitment is required to discuss a scope of work.
